Environment Day

Environment Day is a retail window display created for a store in Istanbul. The display features a hand made dry land wall that draws the attention of people passing by. The idea arose from drought and the loss of natural resources on Earth. A green field was designed to penetrate the dry land, showing that renewal is still possible. The dry land was formed from clay applied to MDF plates and sun dried for one week to create a fissured surface. The green areas are made of moss and the letters are cut from wood. About 98 percent of the display is made from sustainable and organic materials.

Minus

Minus is a portable tap water filter designed to be reusable and zero waste. Minus uses pressure from the tap to push water through a filter of activated coconut charcoal, removing chemicals, bacteria and odour. The body is made of stainless steel with a rubber coating for a better grip when wet. A natural indigo colourant inside the filter washes out gradually with use, showing clearly when a replacement is needed. The used filter can be posted back, then cleaned, recharged and reused, which avoids the waste left by disposable filters.
